ABOUT 

THE BEGINNING

My story really starts with my parents. My mom, a Mexican immigrant and single mother of two, moved my sister and I from our home in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico to Laredo, Texas when I was very young. The only language she knew was Spanish, but that didn't stop her from getting into community college and getting a job as a receptionist. Through her grit and determination, she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, eventually building her own successful accounting firm. She showed me the value of education, dedication, and never giving up even when the odds are stacked against you.

My father is the other source of inspiration in my life. He’s a dedicated lifelong blue-collar worker and spent his life building a better future for his family through hard work and perseverance. Outside of work, you can find him inside the fastest car on a drag race track, where he has earned numerous medals and trophies, including a World Championship. He showed me that true success comes from having fun doing something you love. His hard work and passion have taught me that joy and commitment are the keys to a truly fulfilling life. My parents' unwavering love and the inspiring example they set gave me the strength and courage to pursue my dreams.

GETTING HERE

Inspired to forge my own path, I left Texas to attend college on a basketball scholarship, where I graduated with two degrees in just four years. After college, I spent several years working in accounting and then went on to law school (the picture you see is me after I was sworn in). While I greatly appreciated what both careers taught me about businesses, I found that neither accounting nor law fulfilled me. My true passion lay in helping entrepreneurs tackle challenges in their businesses, empowering them to understand their numbers, optimize their processes, and grow their dreams. I moved to NYC and started my own business, VIVA Business Solutions to fulfill that passion. 

AND NOW, VIVA

VIVA Business Solutions was born out a passion for businesses, and molded from Mexican roots. I created this company to combine my expertise in accounting, business strategy, and problem-solving with my love for helping others succeed. Through VIVA, I get to support entrepreneurs in knowing their numbers, understanding their customers, and finding cost-effective solutions to achieve profitability and long-term success. At the heart of my business is the belief that small businesses are the backbone of thriving communities. Just like my family’s story, success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about heart, resilience, and vision. I’m here to help you harness yours.
